Matt Maltese casts his own spell with ‘As The World Caves In’

The South Londoner’s latest panoramic soundtrack is a stunning end of the world ode
Exuding the word classic from the very first note, Matt Maltese may be a name that doesn’t ring a variety of bells at the moment – but with ‘As The World Caves In’ he’s pulled his own chair right up to the party in stunning fashion.

Prowling into focus and blocking everything else out, ‘As The World Caves In’ draws inspiration from the current state of affairs in the world – lamenting the final night on Earth and turning it into quite possibly the most romantic gesture ever seen. Built across an ever growing cinematic backdrop, it’s an emotionally raw yet beautiful journey, finding Matt Maltese sounding like the modern day heir to Leonard Cohen’s crown of dark seduction.

‘As The World Caves In’ follows on from his debut release ‘Vacant In The 21st Century’ which came out last year, with both tracks being produced by none other than Hugo White of The Maccabees.

Matt Maltese is currently on the road with Hamilton Leithauser around the UK and Europe, with a headline show of his own lined up at London’s Bethnal Green Working Man’s Club on March 29th. Along with appearances at Are You Listening? Festival, Live At Leeds and The Great Escape, he’ll also be supporting The Maccabees on some of their final farewell shows.

So no excuse for missing him.
