Mauv has announced his debut album, ‘Armageddon’

The London-via-the-midlands newcomer has also released a new single about the live music industry.

London-via-the-midlands newcomer Mauv has announced his debut album, ‘Armageddon’.

The full-length is set to be released on 6th April via London/LA-based label All My Thoughts, preceded by new single ‘Paradise’.

“This track focuses on my perspective of the live music industry,” he explains, “particularly the relationship between live acts and the idea of success, of trends, and how they’re marketed and consumed. For some reason, I chose to pose these ideas against the archetypal Garden of Eden story. I’m not religious, but for reason it made sense to use a famous narrative, especially one everyone knows, to explain my feelings towards how live music and how trying to break into that world was feeling for me.”

Check out the new single below; the album’s full tracklisting reads:

  1. Young Buck
  2. Armageddon
  3. Paradise
  4. Manual
  5. Space To Let
  6. Wash Over Me
  7. Transit
  8. Year Of The Rat
  9. Venus And The Mirror
