Mega Bog has announced a new album with new track ‘The Clown’

'End of Everything' is set for release on 19th May.

Mega Bog, the project of Erin Elizabeth Birgy, has announced her return with ‘The Clown’, the first single from her forthcoming album ‘End of Everything’.

The new track marks the first glimpse of the multi-instrumentalist’s music since their 2021 album ‘Life and Another’, and arrives with a self-directed video.

In a statement, Birgy spoke of the single’s themes of self-discovery: “It’s about the terrible, sensual, and chaotic release of merging one’s own multitudes, showing love to the darkness and insecurities, having curiosity about what is beyond presumed perceptions – surrendering to the uncontrollables, while nourishing the small statues of what we do have control over within ourselves.”

The forthcoming album, which was recorded with Big Thief’s James Krivchenia, also features a plethora of collaborators, including Zach Burba on bass, and electric guitars from Will Segerstrom, Meg Duffy (Hand Habits), and Jackson Macintosh (Drugdealer, TOPS). Westerman also contributed vocals to a track titled ‘Love Is’.

‘End of Everything’ is set for release on 19th May. Check out ‘The Clown’ below.
