Meilyr Jones wins the Welsh Music Prize 2016

He's picked up the award for his debut, ‘2013’.
Meilyr Jones has won this year’s Welsh Music Prize for his debut album, ‘2013’, released through Moshi Moshi earlier this year.



Other acts nominated for the award, included: 9Bach, Alan Gaffey, the Anchoress, Cate Le Bon, Climbing Trees, Datblygu, Plu, Right Hand Left Hand, Simon Love, Skindred and Sŵnami.



The news follows the announcement of a tour for next March, which will kick off at The Gate in Cardiff and includes a finale at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
