Scouse alt-popster Michael Aldag has dropped his debut EP, ‘SOCIALIZING’.
The six-track project was shared in full on November 18th via 3Beat Records, and arrived with the new single, ‘POLAROID’. The release follows support slots alongside Bastille, George Ezra, and Caity Baser, all of which have made for a busy 2022.
“My music’s for anybody who feels slightly-to-constantly overwhelmed and unsure of who they are, flailing around in this massive ridiculous world,” Aldag reflects on his growing Gen-Z audience. “I’m definitely not a TikToker or an influencer, but it’s a useful platform and my songs have got some humour in them as well, so the two things are not worlds apart.”
On the debut project, Michael says “‘SOCIALIZING’ is basically a diary entry set to the same 6 chords for the majority of the time. It covers: me being drunk, me being stressed, me being suicidal, me being rejected and me being okay. It really has it all!”
