Michael Kiwanuka reveals a powerful new video for ‘Hero’

Kiwanuka’s new album ‘Kiwanuka’ is set to land on November 1st

Michael Kiwanuka has unveiled a powerful new video for latest cut ‘Hero’.

Set firmly in the 60s, the clip is a startling look back at the decade – rolling through police corruption, conspiracies and more for a thought-provoking examination of visionaries lost way too soon due to violence.

Speaking about the track, Kiwanuka says: “‘Hero’ is a song about how the gems of this world always seem to die young, and how those who are oppressed often seem to have the most to offer us”.

It’s the latest track to be taken from his hotly anticipated third album, titled ‘Kiwanuka’, set to drop on November 1st. Alongside a spanning UK headline tour in March 2020, Michael Kiwanuka will now also play a trio of in-store shows in the run-up to the album’s release – calling into Kingston, Dundee and Edinburgh at the end of October.
