The track was released today, 27th October, via FatCat Records.
‘The Big Melt’ follows previous releases including ‘Now You’re Gone’ and ‘Shootout Sunday’ and will be followed by a debut headline UK tour this November for the Nottingham psych-pop band.
On the topic of ‘The Big Melt’, Midnight Rodeo shared: “We were once a bit out of sorts walking through town and accidentally joined a Brazilian drum parade. I’m sure it was entirely coincidental timing, but we felt like that dog who thinks the parade is for them. I feel like we tried to recreate that feeling of finding yourself lost in an awakening world within a mundane day, and brought in Sam’s dad & brother to help with all the additional percussion to give it a Latin feel. It’s a big old good time party tune.”
