Mitski has revealed that her seventh studio album, titled ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We’, is on its way.

In a newsletter to her fans, the singer-songwriter shared a voice memo in which she made the announcement. She also mentioned that the album’s first single – as yet untitled – is scheduled for release on Wednesday.

Speaking from Bomb Shelter Studios in Nashville, Mitski expressed her excitement about the upcoming album. “It’s called ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We’, and its first single is coming out on Wednesday,” she revealed in the voice memo. Fans can listen to the memo below.

The announcement did not provide any additional details about the album, such as its release date or track listing. ‘The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We’ is the follow-up to Mitski’s sixth album, ‘Laurel Hell’, which was released in February 2022.
