Miya Folick has shared a striking video for a new, intimate version of her song ‘Thingamajig’

"We wanted to make a version of this song that felt quiet and patient," she says.

Miya Folick has shared a new video for ‘Thingamajig’.

It’s a reworking of a track from her debut album; ‘Premonitions’ was co-produced with Justin Raisen (Sky Ferreira, Charli XCX, Santigold and Angel Olsen) and Yves Rothman, and is out now via Terrible Records/Polydor Records.

Of the new version, Miya says: “We wanted to make a version of ‘Thingamajig’ that distilled it down to its core – the melody, the lyrics, the interplay between the harmonics and the voice, the apology.

“I’ve been feeling lately that there’s been a flurry of apologies in the news but rarely is there a true apology. We wanted to make a version of this song that felt quiet and patient, that took the time to express the gravity of sorry.”
