Mountain Goats share track from Ozzy Osbourne inspired album

It's a full-length that will “probably never see formal release.”
The Mountain Goats have shared a new track, ‘Going Back to California’.

Writing on his Tumblr, frontman John Darielle explains the track is taken from an album of songs about Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath that “will probably never see formal release.”

Never say never, eh?

‘Going Back to California’ is about the plane crash that killed Randy Rhoads, a member of Ozzy’s band, back in 1982. You can download the track here as a sizeable WAV, or here as a more modestly sized M4A file.
