Mumford & Sons have postponed four shows on their UK tour.
The run, which kicked off in Dublin last week, was due to finish up in Liverpool on 2nd December. That last show has now been moved back to 2019, alongside dates in Manchester (originally 21st November), Sheffield (24th November) and Cardiff (28th November).
A statement from the band says “unforeseen technical and logistical challenges” have forced the postponements. “As you may know,” it reads, “the Delta tour is by far the most ambitious show we’ve put together and we have had to free up some space in the schedule to be able to execute it, given some obstacles that have come up in production.”
The changes mean there’s now a day between each date of the run.
The statement continues: “The truth is that it is simply not humanly possible to play these particular shows at this time and we are sorry the reality of that only truly landed after we completed Belfast yesterday.”
New dates for the four shows will be announced “very soon” with original tickets valid and refunds available for those no longer able to attend. In-store record signings planned for this week will still go ahead.
