My Bloody Valentine have new material coming in 2018. Or so they say.
Back in September, singer Kevin Shields’ promotional bio for Sigur Ross’ Norður og Niður festival declared that he was working on a My Bloody Valentine album to be released in 2018. Now, Reader, Kevin himself has confirmed that. In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Kevin was asked if the band will really have a new album in 2018. “Oh, we one hundred percent will. One hundred percent,” he said.
That seems pretty definitive, doesn’t it? My Bloody Valentine’s most recent album ‘m b v’ was released in 2013, but before that they hadn’t dropped an album since ‘Loveless’ way back in 1991. That really puts this current wait into perspective, we suppose.
