Dear My Chemical Romance. What is a ‘SWARM’, and could it be the name of a new album?

New merch seems to suggest something is afoot.

Dear My Chemical Romance. What is a ‘SWARM’?

The band are currently playing the first night of their UK reunion tour at Cornwall’s Eden Project. Following up on Friday’s first new song in eight years ‘The Foundations of Decay’, new shows mean new merch. And that new merch looks rather interesting.

Prominent at the merch table are a number of items featuring the phrase ‘SWARM’, over artwork of what appears to be a fly.

That’s very much the kind of merch you’d create around a new album, right? And it’s not restricted to merch, either. If you look at the background to the setlist for the show – posted on Twitter earlier this evening – you’ll see the same image.

So what is ‘SWARM’? Does this mean more new music is on the way? We’ll surely find out more very soon.
