19-year-old London producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nick Mono has dropped a new single ‘All That You Do’.
Nick explains of the track: “I produced this one in my room, centred around a D’Angelo-inspired guitar riff I made and just let everything else in the instrumental service that guitar. The song has quite a romantic sentiment overall but the core of the song is centred around the frustration of trying to make something work with someone during a transitional period in life. There’s only one verse in the song because I feel like there’s not much you can really do in that situation. There’s a hopelessness to the song, and specifically the verse, which I love about it. It’s probably one of my favourite verses I’ve written.”
Growing up in West London to Punjabi-Indian parents, the track follows up on breakthrough cut ‘Effy Stonem’ – named after a character from iconic teen drama Skins – which blew up on TikTok, with creators like Bella Poarch and the Skins actor April Pearson using the song in their videos.
