Noel Gallagher is teasing a new track ‘INGUT’

Whatever that stands for, you can check out the strings for it, as recorded at Abbey Road earlier this year, now.

Noel Gallagher has shared a clip of string sessions for a new song, recorded at the Abbey Road studios earlier this year.

The video, which was filmed by Gallagher himself and posted to his Twitter with the caption “INGUT. String Session. Abbey Rd (April 28th, 2022). 1st run through. Filmed by NG,” shows a group of string players playing a melody to an unknown song, while a conductor stands in the centre of the room.

The video has generated considerable interest from fans, who have been speculating what “INGUT” could stand for. Some have suggested ‘I Never Gave Up Trying’, while others simply asked “What is INGUT?!”

This follows the release of Gallagher’s first single from his upcoming High Flying Birds album, ‘Pretty Boy’, which features Johnny Marr on guitar. The album is set to be released in 2023, and Gallagher has revealed that it will have a largely “orchestral” sound, with 10 songs and six of them featuring strings.

In an interview with an Italian radio station in November, Gallagher gave further details of the album’s release date. “I can’t say what the album is called yet, though,” he said. “Hopefully we will be in Istanbul [for the Champions League final] around when my new album is out next May, so that would be good.”
