Orla Gartland has become the latest artist to suffer a van break-in, with a number of items taken during her current UK tour.
Posting to Instagram stories, Orla listed a full rundown of what was taken, including instruments, stage outfits and more.
In an accompanying post, she explains:
“Here it is lads, the post no one wants to make: yesterday our tour van was broken into in the car park of the Travelodge Wembley and some of our gear taken. Some of it may end up discarded but we’re certain some will end up on sale – please keep an eye out in shops & online and contact my manager claire@orlagartland.com with any info
“It seems that whoever broke into the van was disturbed and didn’t get a chance to help themselves to everything there – this could have been much worse. No one is hurt and everyone in our beautiful tour crew has been supporting one another so much since all of this kicked off.
“We have cobbled together enough to make it through our final tour date tonight in Brighton Concorde2 – THE SHOW MUST GO ON x”
It’s the latest in a series of recent break-ins as musicians return to the road after the coronavirus pandemic. NOISY recently also reported a van break-in, but later recovered the items, as explained to NME.
