Pale Waves are #5 on the BBC Sound of 2018 shortlist, ‘FYI’

That's good news, isn't it?
Pale Waves have been announced as the first name on the BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist.

The current Dork cover stars come in at number 5 in the rundown, which is probably gonna look a little awkward when they’re the biggest band on the planet twelve months from now, but hey, we can deal with that later.

The BBC Sound of 2018 is voted for by a panel of industry professionals (and unprofessionals, i.e. HIYA! IT’S US! – Ed), to measure the pulse of what ‘music types’ think is gonna be big over the next year. You can find more info here.

The other four names from the shortlist will be revealed over the rest of this week.

Pale Waves are set to release a new EP later this month, and are currently recording their debut album. Like, RIGHT NOW.
