Para Alta debut their new track, ‘Backseat Driver’

It's a swoonsome slice of melodic brilliance, and you can check it out first on Dork.
Para Alta drop their new track ‘Backseat Driver’ tomorrow, Friday 24th November, but if you’re up for a special treat, you can check it out first on Dork now.

The Hartlepool formed four-piece – Jonny Bee (vocals/guitar), Luke Cowley (guitar), Tommy Sotheran (drums), and Sonny Williamson (bass) – upped sticks to East London at the start of the year before hitting the road. After a summer of writing together in their living-room-slash-studio, they struck gold with this slice of melodic brilliance, which you can listen to below.

“‘Backseat Driver’ is a tune close to our hearts and one we’ve been holding back for too long,” says Jonny. “The song itself is a classic tale of a lovers tussle behind the wheel of a relationship. It’s a song we feel best represents who and where we are as a band, it’s a favourite of ours and hopefully for everyone else now too.”

Catch Para Alta live at Hit The Bar in Middlesbrough, on Saturday 25th November.
