Paramore have returned with news of a new single, ‘This Is Why’.
Teased over the past couple of weeks, the band have been building up to their forthcoming sixth album via a series of mysterious hints.
Now, we know we’ll be hearing the first taster on Wednesday 28th September.
“This Is Why,” the song. Sept 28.

Pre-save: https://t.co/wpwFvGNPJb pic.twitter.com/U1hZWh2Ind
Earlier this month, Paramore changed their profile pictures on social media accounts. Then, old posts started to disappear. Then followed a reboot of the band’s website, confirming they’d set up an official Discord server. After some clowning around by the fans flocking to it, a hint at some new music was, possibly, uncovered, soon followed by a second – posted by a TikTok account names ‘isthiswhyisthisiswhy’.
It all was part of a promotional calendar, positioned on the band’s homepage. Late last night (15th September), a previously blank listing for 9.16 filled in to read ‘p.s. T.I.W.’ – hinting something regarding the new track was imminent. Turns out, it was ‘pre-save ‘This Is Why”. Smart.
There is one remaining slot to be filled – ‘start spreading the news’ on Monday, 19th September.
Earlier this week, Paramore announced two new LA shows.
Taking place on October 20th and 27th at The Wiltern and The Belasco respectively, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to Support + Feed, which “takes action for a global shift to an equitable, plant-based food system to combat food insecurity and the climate crisis”.
The dates are in addition to an existing run in October and November, calling off in Bakersfield, Magna, Omaha, Oklahoma City, Austin, Chesterfield, Bonner Springs, Toronto, Chicago, Cincinnati, Atlanta and St Augustine.
2 new LA shows in support of Support And Feed + our friends @claudmp3, @arealogi, @elkemusek, Faux Real, & more on select dates.
