Check out Personal Trainer’s video for recent single ‘Fiddlefunk’

"With the right production, and lyrics that are witty instead of plain stupid, it might have had a shot at being a Sports Team B-side!”

Dutch indie-popsters Personal Trainer have returned with a video for their recent single ‘Fiddlefunk’.

“The song ‘Fiddlefunk’ itself is a pretty guitar-forward poppy rocker,” explains Willem Smit. “It could have gotten airplay on the radio if the intro was a bit shorter, maybe. I like to think with the right production, and lyrics that are witty instead of plain stupid, it might have had a shot at being a Sports Team B-side!”

“While making the video for ‘Fiddlefunk’, we found out that the general philosophy behind a Personal Trainer product or performance is that the initial idea has to be extremely simple and a bit silly, so that we can try our best to make it sound, look, or feel cool. I think this applies to this video, our attempt to be the first band ever to play two live shows in two different places simultaneously, our streamed 24 hour lasting show we played a while back, the fact that we used to play with different band members every show, and our music really.”

“We are currently working on our debut album and it’s coming along nicely,” Willem continues. “Our EP ‘Gazebo’ sold out quicker than expected, so we decided to get it repressed. With this extra special white vinyl edition, the ‘Fiddlefunk’ video and our autumn tour, we hope to reach more and more people around the globe and become famous!”

So there we go. You can check out ‘Fiddlefunk’ below.
