After drumming for Hot Chip for the past few years, Sarah Jones has unveiled a fresh new project called Pillow Person, and her debut single ‘Go Ahead’ is an alright dance floor stomper.
Built other digital pumps and sun-kissed highs, ‘Go Ahead’ is an eye-opening glimpse into the glory days of late night revelry, and a perfect fit for the summer pop bounce of sunny days and fruity cocktails.
Speaking about the track, Jones said:
“This song actually came to me in a dream. I woke up and sang it into my phone. You know those stories about the Beatles doing this (but not into a phone, obviously)? Well, I never thought something so cheesy would ever happen to me. But it did.”
The single is out on August 19th on Moshi Moshi Records backed by a Spanish language version of the track and B-side ‘In My Game’, and expect many more bangers to come.
