Pixey has shared ‘Dreams, Pains & Paper Planes’, her first eight-track mini-album.
The Liverpudlian performer has written, recorded and produced the release herself, as with her previous EP releases ‘Free To Live In Colour’ & ‘Sunshine State’, both of which have received 5-star reviews from Dork, citing “immense production and impeccable vocals” in addition to “almost excessive skills and glamour”.
On her newest release, Pixey says: “‘Dreams, Pains & Paper Planes’ is the biggest project I’ve released to date. I wrote, recorded and produced the mini LP mostly in my bedroom over the last year. I wanted the record to have more complexity than my previous EPs.”
“Genre-bending and exploring more anxieties but keeping my favourite big beats & breaks was really important to me when writing it,” she adds. “More than anything, I want the listener to feel like they can dip into an alternate world for a while, whether it’s comforting or not”
