POND predict ‘The Weather’ in style on this cosmic new doozie

  • Dork News Desk
  • March 20, 2017
With a new album on the horizon, POND are dropping hits quicker than a pop factory – with that album’s title track ‘The Weather’ unveiling a cosmic new layer to what’s about to come from the Aussie psych-weavers.

Dripping in summer-filled haze, it’s the perfect way to close their latest LP – one that’s sure to soundtrack many-a sun soaked moment over the year ahead.

‘The Weather’ (the album we mean) is set for release on May 5th – featuring the already unveiled ‘3000 Megatons’ and ‘Sweep Me Off My Feet’, with the band commenting that it’s set to be “a concept album, not completely about Perth, but focusing on all the weird contradictory things that make up a lot of colonial cities around the world.”

POND will return to the UK following the album’s release, with a string of headline shows lined up in Brighton, London, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol.

Plug into ‘The Weather’ below, Michael Fish will love you for it.

POND are set to play:

15 Concorde 2, Brighton UK

16 O2 Forum Kentish Town, London UK

17 Stylus, Leeds UK

19 The Art School, Glasgow UK

20 Gorilla, Manchester UK

21 Thekla, Bristol UK
