Queens of the Stone Age have finished their “uptempo” new album

The follow-up to 2013's '... Like Clockwork’ is imminent.
Josh Homme has revealed that Queens of the Stone Age have finished their next album, and the band are raring to go.

The follow-up to 2013’s ‘… Like Clockwork’, he’s explained to New Zealand’s Rock FM that “everyone is really ready to go” and that “the record feels that way too – it feels uptempo.”

“The most important record I’m making is the one I’m working on,” he adds. “For the lack of better term, I bet my life on it.

“If you don’t risk anything, you’re not gonna get anything. I don’t wanna copy myself, I just wanna take another chance at it; it keeps it always exciting that way.”

The news follows a recent interview in which Josh claimed the record won’t feature any guest appearances, dispelling recent rumours that Dave Grohl would appear. He also said there’d be a new single before July.
