Rachel Chinouriri has shared her new single, ‘I’m Not Perfect (But I’m Trying)’.
The track comes after a recent summer single, ‘Thank You For Nothing’, and both releases follow her 2022 EP, ‘Better Off Without’ – Dork’s 4-star review described the record as, “heartbreakingly raw but brilliantly delivered.” Chinouriri also walked us through the EP track-by-track, which you can read here.
“I wanted to write a song about the hesitation before diving into a situation,” she says on the new song. “I was reflecting on the self doubt I have sometimes but also the desire to alway jump straight into things. It’s the realisation and acceptance of being perfectly imperfect. This life is full of motion and keeping up isn’t always easy. But I remind myself to just go for it in order to grow as a human being and experience new and amazing things.”

Rachel will headline London’s Omeara next Friday, November 4th, following a support slot with Kojey Radical at 02 Academy Brixton the night before – tickets are available here.
