When robots learned to cry: decoding the genius of Radiohead's 'Kid A'

With ‘Kid A,’ Radiohead tossed aside their guitar anthems and conjured a futuristic soundscape beamed in from another dimension, creating an audacious, bewildering masterpiece that redefined modern music.

  1. +Radiohead have announced a 21-show arena residency across Australia and Japan in 2027, kicking off in May with four nights in Perth.
  2. +The run includes six shows each in Melbourne and Sydney, then five nights at Saitama's GMO Arena in June — these are the only dates the band will play next year.
  3. +Ticket registration opens now via radiohead.com, with the band noting no additional dates will be announced but they 'hope to do more shows elsewhere in the future'.
  4. +The dates follow Radiohead's 2025 European residencies, their first shows in seven years, and align with Ed O'Brien's plan for annual continent-based residencies from 2027 onwards.

Radiohead have announced a 21-show arena run across Australia and Japan for 2027.

The dates begin in May with four nights at Perth's RAC Arena, followed by six shows at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and six more at Sydney's Afterpay Arena. The run then heads to Japan in June for five nights at GMO Arena in Saitama.

Ticket registration is open now through radiohead.com. The announced concerts are the only shows Radiohead will be playing in 2027, while the band's ticketing page says no additional dates will be announced.

The same page also says: "The band hope to do more shows elsewhere in the future."

The newly announced dates follow Radiohead's 2025 residencies in European cities, the band's first shows in seven years, with the new dates fitting Ed O'Brien's earlier description of a touring plan built around annual residencies in different continents from 2027.
