Radiohead are awkward buggers. We noticed it a few weeks back, when they were teasing us like Jessica bloody Rabbit over their new album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, but nothing represents their incessant desire to string us all along more than their refusal to play ‘Creep’ live.
One of their biggest hits – and probably the song with the most mainstream recognition – the last time the band played the track was back in 2009, apparently. We don’t keep a record, but obviously as this is The Internet and Radiohead, other people do.
That is, until last night (23rd May), where they busted it out in Paris. “This is for the funny guy shouting for ‘Creep’ at the back”, Thom Yorke joked, “if only to shock you.”
Look. There’s proof in the video ‘below’.
