Radiohead are tweeting about their new album (sort of)

  • Dork News Desk
  • May 3, 2016
Quick! Quick! Radiohead have posted a video on Instagram! This is it! Oh God, calm down. This is going to be amazing…

Oh. Okay.

It turns out Thom and co. are still playing with our tiny minds this morning. Technically – sort of – the band have returned with a new song. Only it’s rather, shall we say, tweety. And performed by an animated bird.

On one hand, a well played swerve. On the other, something else we can read (potentially far too much) into. See, that bird video was posted early in the morning UK time. That makes it a dawn chorus – when birds start to sing at the start of a new day. Viewers with even the worst memories will recall that the band registered a couple of new companies around the Dawn Chorus theme to handle the business side of their new record. This isn’t just banter. This means something. Probably.

The video is also appearing and disappearing from the band’s website. This follows them blanking out their entire web presence on Sunday night, and sending UK fans cryptic notes on Saturday morning in the mail.

Update: Now we’ve got a second clip – a more tangible musical cut featuring building strings, that cuts off when the Trumpton style animated figures (ask your Dad. Or Grandad – Ed) strike out at, what presumably, is the witch.

Odds suggest ‘Burn The Witch’ will drop later today, then.
