Rina Sawayama is planning to drop a new album next summer, ‘FYI’

She's "working with some producers" she's "always dreamed of".

Rina Sawayama has teased she plans to release her second album late next year.

Taking part in a quick Twitter Q&A session, she responded to a fan asking when the next album would be with the reply “next year late summer”.

She also revealed she’d “love to” collaborate with Charli XCX, and said that – while there won’t be an original single coming before 2022, there may be a collaborative track arriving before the end of the year.

Her songwriting process has also changed, as she explained “all songs on the new record [were] recorded in the UK, written in about 1/20th of the time of the first one, and I’m working with some producers I’ve always dreamed of.”

Exciting much? Add that to the news she’ll also be staring in the forthcoming action extravaganza John Wick 4, and there’s a lot of Rina news to get buzzed about.
