Rina Sawayama has dropped a third taster from her new album ‘Hold The Girl’.
The record’s title track was given a first spin on Clara Amfo’s BBC Radio 1 show as the Hottest Record In The World earlier this evening (27th July).
Speaking about the origin of the new single, Rina says, “’Hold the Girl’ was the first song I wrote for the record at the end of 2020 – I had gone to therapy and had a revelation, so I decided to write this song…that was the start of it. I was crying before going into the studio to write about it.”
It follows up on the previously aired ‘This Hell’ and ‘Catch Me In The Air’ on previewing the new album, set for release on 16th September via Dirty Hit.
