Royal Blood mash it up at Glastonbury as they go to number one

They're so hot right now, they're roasting.
You don’t get much better than scoring a Number 1 album right as you take to Glastonbury’s biggest stage. That’s exactly what happened for Royal Blood yesterday, as the two piece wedged themselves in at the top spot in the UK Albums Chart and stormed the Pyramid Stage right at the same time.

Marking stage two of their rocket light ascent, there’s no doubting this is where Royal Blood belong now. It’s not as if they’ve had to chip their way at this – they’ve delivered from the word go. Huge crowds make all those platitudes about ‘a lot of noise for a two piece’ seem as bland as a pair of baked potatoes. Their wall of sound, so thick with rock it probably has it’s own leather jacket, makes everything else an irrelevance.

You can watch Royal Blood’s full set here, thanks to the BBC.
