Ryan Adams details new album ‘Prisoner’, lead by new track ‘Do You Still Love Me?’

Of course we do Ryan, February 17th can’t come soon enough
Anthem icon Ryan Adams has revealed the first details of his upcoming new album – set to be titled ‘Prisoner’.

The record will be Ryan’s 14th studio LP, and is set to be packed with more of the heart on your sleeve tales that leave you both in a pool of tears but at the same time ready to get back up again. Set for release on February 17th, it’ll be the perfect antidote to all things Valentine.

Speaking to The Japan Times recently, Ryan talked about how his recent divorce has heavily influenced the writing of ‘Prisoner’.

“I started writing this record while I was going through a very public divorce, which is a humiliating and just a fucking horrible thing to go through no matter who you are.To be me and to go through that the way that I did was destructive on a level that I can’t explain. So a lot of extra work went into keeping my chin up and remembering what I did and what I loved about who I was.”

To mark the announcement, Ryan debuted the record’s full 12 tracks at a secret invite-only gig last night (December 7th) in Austrailia at Sydney’s Factory Theatre. Lucky Aussies.

Fear not, because Ryan Adams has also unveiled the record’s lead single ‘Do You Still Love Me?’ for all of us to enjoy right away. If it’s any sign of where the record’s heading – then we’re in, big time.
