Sad Night Dynamite explore purgatory with their new mixtape, ‘Volume II’

The seven-track release is out now.

Sad Night Dynamite have dropped their new mixtape, ‘Volume II’.

The project – which features their recent tracks ‘Tramp’ and ‘Black & White’, and was put together during lockdown – arrives to coincide with their UK tour alongside Glass Animals, and ahead of festival slots at Standon Calling, Reading & Leeds and more.

“During the writing of Volume II, it really felt like we were in a space where we were neither dead nor alive. ‘Volume II’ is purgatory. It’s a love letter to mortality, and explores that idea in many different lights; the anxiety and restlessness that it can bring in ‘Look Alive’ or the moments of serenity and calmness that can arise in ‘Dropped Eyes’. Every track takes a different view on death. It was only right to go this way, after the crash.”
