Sam Austins has returned with his new The Strokes-inspired alt-pop single, ‘Dancing With The Devil’.
Following his 2021 debut mixtape, ‘HOMELESS STAR’, the track is the second cut from an upcoming EP which is expected to arrive in early 2023, and will also include his previous single, ‘Matador’.
The Detroit creative’s latest effort merges R&B melodies with a nostalgic alternative attitude, grounded within high fashion aesthetics. Looking back on his adolescence, ‘Dancing With The Devil’ takes great inspiration from the iconic NYC rock outfit, The Strokes.
“The Strokes remind me of a time when the only thing that I could afford was bodega meals, living in New York,” Austins reflects. “The energy of us poor kids from Detroit, running around Manhattan like it was all ours still means the absolute world to me. I wanted to create a song that captured that madness.”

Sam Austins is currently touring North America in support of Dora Jar.
