Is Sam Fender teasing his third album with some mysterious billboards?

Everyone loves a good QR code, right?

Sam Fender fans had something exciting to discuss yesterday evening when they encountered billboards erected in his honour outside St James’ Park, where the artist is set to perform this Friday and Saturday (9th and 10th June).

The posters prominently feature the black and white shirts of Newcastle United Football Club. Honouring Sam’s first two albums, ‘Hypersonic Missiles’ and ‘Seventeen Going Under’, bearing the numbers ‘1’ and ‘2’ respectively, it also features a number ‘3’ shirt with a mysterious QR code, sparking rumours of a soon-to-be-announced third full-length.

We will ignore the fact number 1 should always be a goalkeeper and therefore would have a different shirt. Sam knows this. Sam isn’t Stuart Pearce.

Sam Fender’s previous album ‘Seventeen Going Under’ was released in 2021. It’s possible we’ll know more about what’s coming next over the weekend. Keep ’em peeled.
