Sampha has dropped a new track, ‘Treasure’.
The song is taken from new film ‘Beautiful Boy’, which stars Timothée Chalamet and Steve Carell.
“I wrote ‘Treasure’ after seeing the film for the first time,” Sampha said in a statement. “Nic (Chalamet) and David’s (Carell) story, and the dynamic between them, really resonated with me on an emotional level, and ‘Treasure’ is my response, filtered through the lens of my own experiences. I feel honoured to be asked to contribute something to a film as authentic and important as this.”
The soundtrack to the film – released today – also includes songs by Aphex Twin, Nirvana and John Lennon.
