Sea Girls have released a new video for ‘Violet’.
Directed by Michael Holyk, the video was shot in a disused railway ticket station in Woolwich.
Speaking of the clip, the band explain: “We may have songs with darkness, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look to the light. ‘Violet’ is wildly optimistic and for the video we find ourselves in an abandoned building and this time we aren’t feeling sorry for ourselves.”
Of the track, frontman Henry Camamile adds: “If our other tracks are the shade, then Violet is definitely the light. There is no tortured soul here, just a boy who avoided the inevitable for years, suddenly realises, and throws himself wholeheartedly to someone who’s made for him. Put your face in a sink of ice cold water and that’s how it makes me feel.”
The video arrives ahead of a run of live shows planned for this October, including a night at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum.
