Self Esteem has released a cover of the Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher classic ‘You Are So Beautiful’, as made famous by Joe Cocker.

The track was recorded in partnership with Dove for the soundtrack of the powerful new film, The Cost Of Beauty, produced by the Dove Self-Esteem Project.

Talking about the track, Rebecca Lucy Taylor explains: “Thanks to Mary, Neko, Alexis, Julia, Sarah, Cami, Chioma, and Mia – the young girls who agreed to be part of the film and share their stories. This film features real stories about body appearance that may be upsetting to some viewers. Thanks to Dove for having me as a voice in their amazing Dove Self-Esteem project. Also thanks to my gorgey band for the BVs – Sophie Galpin, Levi Heaton and Seraphina Simone.”

The Dove Self-Esteem Project is a leading provider of self-esteem education globally. Their recent research reveals that the impact of social media on children’s mental health is cause for concern, with three in five kids being negatively affected. In response to these findings, Dove, in collaboration with Common Sense Media and Parents Together Action, is actively working towards establishing legislative changes to make social media platforms safer for young users.
