Get fresh! We’re announcing the huge new issue of Dork today, complete with 9 (NINE!) cover artists

This month, we've picked out some of the freshest, most exciting acts on the planet and given them each their own Dork cover. We'll be announcing one every hour from 12pm BST. Strap in!

It’s been a weird old year, right? No gigs, no festivals, not much of anything, really. But as summer starts to wind towards its end, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to get excited about. 2020 is still packed with amazing music.

So, in order to hit the refresh button, this month we’ve done something a bit different with ‘the mag’. For the September issue of Dork, we don’t have just one cover act. We don’t have two. Or three. Or four. Or [get on with it! – Ed]… We’ve got nine. Nine of the freshest, most exciting musical acts on the planet right now to give your year the musical jump start it deserves. We’re calling it ‘Get Fresh’ because ‘here are 9 acts we’re quite excited about and think are really good that we’ve decided to put on the cover of our magazine’ wouldn’t fit.

Yes, we are slightly mad. Down with boring and all that.

Available to order today and shipped from 1st September, we’ll be announcing one act every hour between 12pm BST and 8pm BST. You’ll be able to grab a copy as soon as they go on sale. If you want to subscribe to Dork, get every issue delivered direct to your door, and save money as you go – you can do so right here.

The first announce comes at midday. If you like clues, it’s an artist that’s been through our Hype section, played our Homeschool online festival earlier this year, and is really, really bloody lovely. It’s also – we think – their first national music magazine cover. So that’s nice, isn’t it? You can follow updates throughout the day via social media (Twitter or Instagram, basically), where we’ll be teasing what’s to come ‘and such’. See you then when we’ll reveal all.
