Shame have announced both their new album, and a socially-distanced tour.
Dork’s November cover stars will release ‘Drunk Tank Pink’ on 15th January via Dead Oceans, followed by a headline run of independent venues kicking off in February.
Inspired in part by conflicted feelings about getting back from touring their debut, frontman Charlie Steen explains. “The common theme when I was catching up with my mates was this identity crisis everyone was having. No one knows what the fuck is going on.”
“For this album I was so bored of playing guitar,” guitarist Sean Coyle-Smith adds, “the thought of even playing it was mind-numbing. So I started to write and experiment in all these alternative tunings and not write or play in a conventional ‘rock’ way.”
They’ve also shared new single ‘Water in the Well’ – give the Pedro Takahashi directed video a watch below.
