Sigur Rós finally unveil ‘Óveður’

After that mammoth 24 hour live stream, there’s brand new material
It’s been a long time coming, but finally Sigur Rós have revealed the full studio version of their first new music in three years – ‘Óveður’.

As cinematic as ever, it’s packed full of brutal panoramic sweeps and glacial twitches that show just why the Icelandic trio remain in a league of their own.

The track was first debuted last month in the band’s headline set at Primavera Sound, and was one of many tracks played out through their unique live stream (and let’s not forget the Icelandic Horse who kept popping up!)

Sigur Ros will take a raft of new material into their current run of live shows, taking over the Bristol Summer Series tomorrow night before a huge headline set at Citadel next month.
