Skrillex has finally confirmed that his long-awaited new album ‘Quest For Fire’ is set to drop this Friday (February 17th).
After releasing a string of singles, including ‘Rumble’, ‘Way Back’, ‘Leave Me Like This’, ‘Real Spring’ and ‘Xena’, a recent basement DJ set saw Skrillex tease a string of tracks likely to feature on the album.
The tracklist includes ‘Rumble’, ‘Xena’, ‘Leave Me Like This’, ‘Butterflies’ with Four Tet and Starrah, ‘Too Bizarre’ with Swae Lee and Siiickbrain and ‘Supersonic (My Existence)’ with Noisia, Josh Pan and 100 Gecs’ Dylan Brady, as well as team-ups with Missy Elliott, Porter Robinson and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.
Skrillex has credited the past year for finding “a new sense of peace” and “working on himself”, after admitting that 2022 had been “the toughest year of my life”.
“The support you’ve all shown over the years does mean the world and I’ll continue to work on myself and not get into a situation where I have to cancel shows / go into hiding,” he said.
