Sky Ferreira‘s mum reckons her new album is coming this March, ‘FYI’

  • January 24, 2022

Parents, huh? What are they like? Take Sky Ferreira’s mammy Tonia Lamere, who really, really wants us to know that her daughter is definitely, 100% going to finally release her new album this year. Honest.

She shared the news of new music on her Instagram stories over the weekend, stating that a new album is arriving from Sky in March. Given the long and storied history of the record – possibly still titled ‘Masochism’, who knows by this point – we really hope she means 2022.

Sky had previously said that her second studio album would finally be arriving in 2022. But then she’s said that most years for as long as any of us can remember. Good things come to those who wait, right?

The long-awaited work would be her follow up to 2013’s ‘Night Time, My Time’, which featured on many a list of best albums of the 2010s.

Sky has previously spoken about working on this album since 2014. She last released a stand alone single, ‘Downhill Lullaby’, back in 2019.
