Slaney Bay have shared a new single, ‘LS6’, from their upcoming debut EP, ‘A Life Worth Living’.
The new song follows previous singles ‘Take Your Time’ and ‘I Could Love You Better’, with the full project due to arrive on November 11th.
“‘LS6‘ is a song about growing up and moving away,” frontwoman Cait Whitley explains. “I moved to Leeds for University, and LS6 was my new postcode. On the drive up there, I felt this wave of nostalgia for my childhood. Suddenly, I was gaining independence, and creating a new life away from everyone that I loved back home. ‘LS6‘ encapsulates the fear and doubt during these consequential changes… Will you be okay on your own? Is this the right decision?”
On their debut EP, Slaney Bay have said: “each song represents a different chapter in our overarching tale of growing up. The record is an unfiltered look into our lives: from the guilt about growing independent from your parents, to the dramatic adoration of a first love, to the loss of a best friendship. This whirlwind of intense emotions and character building experiences make your life worth living”.
