Smashing Pumpkins are teasing something or other via billboards in London

  • Dork News Desk
  • June 12, 2018
Mysterious Smashing Pumpkins billboards have popped up in London.

The posters feature some of their classic lyrics – such as “the world is a vampire” from mid-nineties hit, ‘Bullet with Butterfly Wings’ – and the date 16th October 2018.

There’s no news yet as to what they’re for, but three-quarters of the group (frontman Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin) are about to head out on their first tour since 2000.

Corgan commented: “Some 30 years ago, as The Smashing Pumpkins, James Iha and I began a musical journey in the cramped rear bedroom of my Father’s house. And so it’s magic to me that we’re able to coalesce once more around the incredible Jimmy Chamberlin, to celebrate those songs we’ve made together.”
