Some serious shapes are thrown in Lucy Rose’s new video for ‘Is This Called Home’

  • Dork News Desk
  • April 27, 2017
It’s time we get excited. Lucy Rose has a new album looming to seize our hearts and now she’s unveiled a stunning new video for latest cut  ‘Is This Called Home’.

Self-directed by Lucy and shot across a stunning view of the Lake District, it features dancer Jonathan Lutwyche giving it ten-nil with the sort of shapes we’d be extremely envious of if we spotted him across the dancefloor and was inspired by a moment of improvised dancing in the studio.

Speaking about the clip and its inspirations, Lucy said: “I wanted to capture exactly that in Jonathan’s dance. I had no idea how it was going to look, but I was completely blown away with the sheer emotion he let out in one take. This video was the first take of the day and much of it was improvised on the spot. I think it’s truly beautiful to watch him dance in one of the most beautiful places in the world, The Lake District.”

Lucy Rose is gearing up to release new album ‘Something’s Changing’ on July 14th, with a worldwide cinema tour in the diaries that kicks off at the start of May and includes nights in London, Brighton, Newcastle, Falmouth and Bristol amongst many, many more. Lucy will then return to the UK for a string of festival appearances, including a slot at this year’s Latitude.
