Sophie May has released a new single about immature relationships, ‘The Babysitter’

It arrives ahead of her headline show at London’s Omeara on 23rd May.

Sophie May has shared a new single, ‘The Babysitter’.

Following on from ‘Doppelgänger’, the tracks mark her first new material since debut EP ‘You Do Not Have To Be Good’, released last summer, and they arrive ahead of her headline show at London’s Omeara on 23rd May.

“The song was inspired by dating someone new that felt like my first ‘adult’ relationship, which made me realise how immature my past experiences had been where I had felt more like a babysitter than a girlfriend,” she explains.

“I wrote it in LA earlier this year with another artist called slimdan. I’d had some time off out there which gave me some time to reflect, so when I went in with Dan we got on really well and it came super easily. We started chatting about what was on my mind and then ‘The Babysitter’ was born (no pun intended).”
