Sound City Liverpool has announced its first wave of artists for 2023, including Maisie Peters, Courting & many more

The 3-day event will be held in Liverpool from April 28th-30th.

Sound City Liverpool has confirmed the first bill of artists for its 2023 edition, with headliner Maisie Peters leading the wave of acts including Courting, The Goa Express & many more.

The event will be held across a range of city-based music venues in Liverpool from April 28th-30th. Its 2022 Edition recently featured Self Esteem, Alfie Templeman, and Baby Queen amongst many other rising artists.

Maisie Peters has been confirmed as the 2023 headliner, after recently dropping her new single, ‘Not Another Rockstar’, and selling out seven UK shows in less than a minute – this newly-confirmed Sound City appearance will be the only North West show she plays on this upcoming tour.

Elsewhere on the bill, we have local Scouse rockers Courting, who featured on this week’s 100th episode of Dork’s flagship radio-show-slash-podcast ‘thingy’ Down With Boring – you can watch that here. The band just completed a UK tour run in support of their debut album, ‘Guitar Music’, which Dork’s 4-star review said boasts, “the kind of feverish intensity that you wish you could hear on every debut.”

The Goa Express will also be performing, having made Dork’s Hype List 2022, dropping a celebratory single in the form of ‘Everybody In The UK’, and lining up their own bill of tour dates for next year. Mollie Coddled joins the line-up, and will presumably offer a setlist of exciting new tracks from her recently-announced second EP, ‘i wanna go home’.

Beren Olivia, Malady, Opus Kink, and SOFY are featured on the first line-up announcement, too – check it out in full below:

Tickets for Sound City Liverpool 2023 will be on sale here from 10 am this Friday, October 28th.
