Creating their own world of surreal, Spoort have unveiled an accompanying music video for new track ‘Drake’
After blowing us away with their ‘Points Of View’ special at Homeschool earlier in the month (check that out here RIGHT NOW), the Midlanders have revealed a video full of clips and sights – perfectly matching with ‘Drake’ and its smooth builds and cutting takes
Speaking about the track, Andrew from the band said: “We’d been playing some of the different parts live as a kind of fast, tense instrumental to open sets with, and it had loads of jumpy parts and key changes. When it came to tracking we wanted to make something more cohesive out of it while keeping the high energy and unpredictability of the way we’d been playing it live.”
Paul from the band adds: “Drake is a friendly reminder that life is beautiful and long! Don’t bother looking up! Just go to work, watch TV and everything will be fine!”
‘Drake’ is taken from Spoort’s debut EP – out today and helpfully titled ‘Spoort’. No excuses for forgetting the band’s name… they’re on to a winner
