Spring King enlist the help of some mates for a new star-studded version of ‘Who Are You’

Recorded as a part of Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios’ 25th Anniversary, it’s a rip-roaring reminder of Tarek & Co’s certified banger
Spring King have got on the blower and invited a bunch of mates down to Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios to record a new version of ‘Who Are You’ – packing the sort of punch that Anthony Joshua would grab at any moment.

Recorded as a tribute to Liverpool’s celebrated Parr Street Studios (which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with 25 short documentaries from artists who have recorded there), the band pulled in a whole range of Liverpudlian talent – including All We Are, Dan Croll, Joe Willis and members of Stealing Sheep and Carnival Kids. So quite the gang we think you’d agree?

Chatting about the version, Tarek from ‘ol Springers said: “Working with some of our best friends, who are also artists in their own right, made the Parr Street session very special for us, We’ve known most of the people involved for a long time and it was a thrill to have each and every one of them take part. We enjoyed the whole day, especially rehearsing the song for the first time ever with everyone.”

“Being able to collaborate with them on this session, in the same room many other great artists have recorded, made the whole experience a pleasure. Having studied in Liverpool I’d always wanted to do a session there and this live performance was the first time I’ve had the opportunity.”

After releasing debut LP ‘If You Like To’ last year, Spring King are set for another manic year of festival appearances all over the place – with slots at 2000 Trees, Bushstock, Tramlines and others in the calendar. We’ll bet our hats that they’ll steal the festival at every single one of ‘em (and we’ve got some cracking hats here).
